Safer Internet Day is a global annual commemoration which is celebrated in February. The Day was designated to promote safe and positive use of digital technology for children and young people, and to inspire national conversations about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically, and creatively.
This year, Safer Internet Day is on 8 February and will be commemorated under the theme ‘All fun and games? Exploring respect and relationships online’.
It is heartrending that despite the numerous positive impacts of the internet, some people have turned it into an arena for abusing children.
